Influenced by his work in interaction design, Jozeph’s passion for animating everyday appliances takes form with Tape Timer. This unassuming household object is a mechanical kitchen timer evolved from the concept of a carpenters’ tape, measuring minutes rather than meters.
Offering a unique, yet practical, user experience, Tape Timer challenges you to consider time as a function of distance. With its upright stance, the remaining time is communicated intuitively from afar even without reading the numerals, similar to an hourglass.
Robustly engineered with an industrial-chic aesthetic, Tape Timer’s housing is cast aluminum finished with durable epoxy powder coating.
