The visually evolved, seamless aesthetic for Cloud was a design challenge in balancing extreme simplicity with absolute functionality.

Inspired by Jozeph’s ideas about “aesthetics of evolution” and biomechanics, Cloud eschews Industrial Age use of gears and cables in re-inventing the desk lamp.

A first-of-its-kind design, the special helical spring connects to the elliptical base acting as a muscle to elevate the slim support arm. The progressive, self-adjusting tension allows full, smooth adjustability of both the arm and the lamp head throughout the full range of motion.
